Flap Gates

H Series

The premier all cast flap gate valve in use today.

The original Plattco flap (shown above) valve continues to be the standard of excellence in iron ore, cement and other heavy duty applications. The precision ground seat and flap make it the premier standard flap gate valve in use today in 100 different engineering applications worldwide.

K Series

The economical fabricated version of the H Series.

This fabricated valve, with cast iron seats and flaps, retains most of the design advantages of the H Series. The K series valve is excellent for use in industrial material handling or cleaning operations where the operating conditions are less severe.

R Series Radial

Superior flap-to-seat sealing.

The new patented R Series revolutionizes the means to process dry materials with superior flap-to-seat sealing action. The radial flap valve is the valve to specify in dry materials handling operations where abrasion is a problem and maintenance of a pressure differential is critical. The contact area of the seat is a radius ground, rounded surface. The flap is finely ground in the shape of a cone frustrum. The radial seat and flap wear true and tight with time and use without loss of pressure. This results in a tighter seal, longer life, and lower maintenance costs.

S Series-1

Solve height and headroom problems with airlock efficiency.

This patented low-head S Series double dump valve starts at only 14" high. The proven Plattco airlock seal maintains maximum system pressure. This is an integral part of the S-1 high torque bottom shaft system.

S Series-2

The S-2 top shaft airlock seal also maintains maximum system pressure and provides a maximum opening with a patented bomb bay flap gate action that dislodges materials that pack, clog, or bridge.

S Series-4

The streamlined S-4 airlock is designed with few moving parts for ease of maintenance and is also available in the popular 9" size.

Trundle Gates

T Series 9000

For silo storage, bin shut-off, bunker feed and conveying applications the T-9000 offers a rugged one piece cast iron body with a tapered bonnet to return material to stream, plus bolt-through flanges and ribbed gate for strength and rigidity.

T Series 8000

Designed with compressed flange to flange height in a two piece body and machined to tight tolerances for use with finer materials and powders. Well suited to higher pressure applications, the T-8000 also features roller bearings for less friction and power requirements and is available with single or dual cylinders.

Isolation Gates

I Series 9000

Designed as an extra heavy duty burner isolation gate valve that reliably seals when power fails, this series is also used in severe applications which require more frequent cycling of the valve gate.

I Series 8000

Designed to require less headroom than the Series 9000, the Series 8000 is also used as a burner isolation gate and in a variety of bulk material handling applications where frequent cycling is required.

Knife Gates

L Series Knife Gates

A high quality, general purpose knifegate of unique compact design, with patented on-line replaceable and reversible seats and gates. These knifegates can be used for liquid or dry product in a wide variety of processes from light duty through high pressure applications.

L Series Wafer Knife Gates

The thin-bodied version in Plattco's knifegate series. The two piece cast body allows seat and gate replacement on-line.

Discharge Gate

IR Series 9000

A high quality, heavy duty rack and pinion isolation discharge gate that is totally sealed to the environment. This advance discharge gate features a non-packing displacement pocket, rail cleaning air jets and bonnet purge to prevent material build up.

Goggle Gates

G Series 9000

A compact, heavy duty, general purpose goggle valve. The G Series 9000 features a high quality, all cast body. Both ends open, with the gate in continuous contact with the rails, which prevents any material buildup or plugging of the opening and bonnet.

G Series 8000

A wafer-bodied version of the G Series 9000, available in both cast and fabricated models. Like the G Series 9000, the 8000 is available in square, round, and rectangular flanges.

Slide Gates

U Series Slide Gate

A standard multi-purpose cast slide gate, often uses as a maintenance gate upstream of Plattco flapgates. Available in square, rectangular and round flange configurations.

V Series Slide Gate

Compact, general purpose design with dual side mounted cylinders. Available in cast alloys and fabricated versions.

KF Series Slide Gate

A superior fabricated slide gate with machined surfaces and many of Plattco's proven design features.
